About Us
EddyAI Group is the product hub of Pilot Generative AI Ltd., born in 2023 from the vision of our founder, Peter Chatwell. After 25 years at the forefront of macroeconomic research and trading, Peter left the City to put artificial intelligence to work for society. His goal wasn’t to chase artificial general intelligence, but to build deep‑thinking AI systems that are privacy‑first, accurate and safe. By combining cutting‑edge neural networks with rules‑ and theory‑based AI, we create self‑learning models that are explainable and accountable, giving organisations trustworthy tools that boost productivity and resilience.
We believe the greatest impact of AI comes when it’s applied to education and work. That’s why we design solutions that help educators meet safeguarding needs and spend more time teaching—and we extend those same principles to the workplace, recognising that adults learn and grow too. Our technology empowers people, rather than replacing them, and we’re driven by a commitment to reduce inequality by bringing AI to those who might otherwise be left behind.
What truly sets us apart is our team. We’re a disability‑confident employer whose small, fully neurodiverse workforce—including colleagues hired from NEET backgrounds—thrives in an environment tailored to diverse needs. Our inclusive culture is more than a statement; it’s a source of creativity and innovation that allows us to build small, smart and adaptable domain‑expert AI models. At EddyAI Group, we’re redefining what AI can be: reliable, explainable and built for humans—so educators can inspire, employees can flourish and organisations can move forward with confidence.

Our Story
EddyAI Group grew out of the personal journey of its founder, Peter Chatwell. For 25 years he built his career in macroeconomic research and trading, developing and using machine‑learning systems to gain an edge. When the rapid advance of generative AI made it clear that these technologies could transform society, Peter decided in 2023 to step away from the City and focus on using AI for social good. First‑hand experience of how education and opportunity gaps hold back younger generations inspired him to establish Pilot Generative AI Ltd.—the parent of EddyAI Group—with a mission to reduce inequality by bringing reliable, explainable AI tools to organisations that might otherwise miss out. From the outset we’ve prioritised privacy, accuracy and safety, and intentionally steered clear of the race to artificial general intelligence, focusing instead on deep‑thinking AI systems that empower teachers, students and employees alike. Today our small team of neurodiverse innovators works to realise that vision, applying educational principles to the workplace and building technology that helps people learn, grow and thrive.
UK Government Supported
In 2025, we were pleased to get financial support from the UK government's Shared Prosperity Fund, to part fund the development of EddyAI FLOW.
This project allowed us to create links with Chatham Job Centre Plus, develop and trial EddyAI FLOW with their customers. This has allowed EddyAI FLOW to perform vocational profiling, skills assessment, training in CV writing, job searching and, most importantly, has allowed EddyAI FLOW to deliver significant training to each customer.
As at November 2025, the project had seen over 20 NEETs. Of which over 60% have found employment, and all have been trained in AI skills.
